ABOUT "SAVESEMMES"

This site was created in 2007, as a way to keep the residents in the Semmes Community informed of events occurring in their area.  In particular, when this site was created, there were concerns with a proposed subdivision that was before the Mobile Planning Commission for approval.  Hence, our website name "SAVESEMMES".

Since that time, we have remained online to have a means of communication with the residents in the Semmes Community on many other issues that are specific to our area.  We welcome comments, suggestions and event notices that concern our area.  

Our goal, as an online information site, is to promote the Community of Semmes as well as other surrounding communities such as Fairview, Crawford and Wilmer.  This area of Mobile County has a wonderful neighborly atmosphere and there is an ambiance specific to this community -- and we want to preserve it.
